Kathryn joined the practice in 2005 having qualified as a GP in 2002. Though born in the wilds of Northumberland, she has adopted East Anglia as her permanent home, having come to study in Cambridge and then completed her general practice training in Norwich. During this time she met and married James, who is now also a partner at Theatre Royal Surgery. Kathryn works half time at TRS since she and James now have three children who require lots of time, energy and a constant taxi service in opposite directions! To relax, Kathryn enjoys needlework, and her various projects progress more quickly in the evening during Top Gear or Match of the Day. She plays the piano and clarinet, and hopes to have more time to practice these in the next few years.
Medically, Kathryn does not claim any special areas of expertise, having been attracted to general practice for its infinite variety. She hopes to thrive on this in Dereham for many years to come.
In 2010 Kathryn agreed to sit on the NHS Norfolk Women's & Sexual Health Programme Board, representing the views of southern Norfolk practice based commissioning consortia. |
