At TRS we place a great emphasis on training and developing our own team, as well as inviting medical students into our practice.
Every member of staff has an annual appraisal. Clinical staff all have a Personal Development Plan (PDP) and we are in the process of setting these up for all administrative staff.
We adopt a variety of training methods including online courses, in-house education, commissioning bespoke courses for specific training needs as well as our own team training days every quarter.
Over the years the partners have funded five residential 'away weekends' where the entire team has gone away together to learn a variety of new skills.
There is an expectation that all our staff have a responsibiltiy for keeping themselves informed of new developments in relation to their own speciality be that secretarial, reception work or clinicial procedures.
In addition to the above we hold regular internal training sessions and online teaching activities including such subjects as Child and Adult Protection Training, annual resuscitation (CPR) training, information governance and various computer and IT literacy and IT clinical system training.
