We regularly review our services in order to improve the scope of clinical work that we are able to offer our patients. Some of these are in collaboration with other healthcare agencies (Social Services, NHS Norfolk, Norfolk County Council).
In addition to our general medical services and contracted enhanced services (see Clinics & Services tab left), we are involved in:
EPIC - The European Prospective Investigation of Cancer (EPIC) is a large multi-centre cohort study looking at the connection between diet and cancer. We have been involved since the study began over ten years ago. Click here to learn more about the study.
Integrated Care Organisation (ICO) We were involved in the 2009-2010 project in collaboration with NHS Norfolk and Norfolk County Council. This project was part of a national pilot scheme to try and provide a single point of contact for patient care. For example, this means that patients who may need the involvement of social services, community nursing or physiotherapy, general practice and, perhaps palliative care, would have a single person to contact for any of their clinical/social needs. The practices involved met with representatives from all the other agencies on a regular basis (weekly, fortnightly or monthly) to ensure that everyone involved knows what is happening with a particular patient at a given time. The study has now finished but our practice continues to have local ICO meetings every month in order to promote integrated care for our patients.
